CULTURE PALACE
Gilbert's second show in Israel was at the Culture Palace in Tel Aviv in front of an audience of 1700 very enthusiastic fans. Considering that Gilbert hasn't had any music released in Israel for over thirty years, the turnout and crowd reaction was fantastic. The meet and greet session after the show was chaotic with what seemed like hundreds of fans surrounding Gilbert seeking autographs and pictures. It took a while but he managed to see to everybody. Among the crowd was Israeli singer Daphne Armony. I should mention that Gilbert was fine after his onstage stumble when he stepped backwards and fell over one of the monitors. This concluded a very short but successful visit to Israel which Gilbert and all the crew enjoyed immensely.
