Tonight was the twentieth and final show of the Berry Vest European Tour of 2004.  Gilbert was well supported by friends and family.  Among them I spotted his wife Aase, daughter Helen-Marie, brother John, aunt Eileen and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.  The Olympia Theatre in Dublin was the venue.  An expectant crowd welcomed their hero to the stage with wild applause.

To introduce this song Gilbert explained "I release an album every two years or so, that's the reason I'm here.  The latest one is called "Piano Foreplay", you mightn't have heard of it but I have and I like it." (Gilbert smiled to himself).

[Gilbert : Electric Piano, Mick Parker : Synth]

Gilbert introduced the song by saying "This is a song that I never do on stage.  In fact on a previous tour I had some Irish dancers dance to it.  At the last show here I explained that I only knew part of the song.  What happened was that when I stopped, the audience kept going.  So I promised that I would learn it for this time, so here we go....."I want to tell you."

It seemed like every man, woman and child in the audience sang this song and enjoyed doing so.  This song should definitely be in every show.

THANK YOUs

Another tour is over and I would just like to thank a few people.

Firstly thanks to the people on stage, without whom there would be no show: Gilbert, Mick, Julian, Helen and Victoria.

Equally important are those people backstage, the people that make it happen: Kevin, Marie, Richard, Stuart, Kevin and everybody else on sound and lightning.

Thirdly I like to say hi and thanks to the old friends that I met again on the course of this tour and also the new friends, which I made.  Your company was always enjoyable.

Finally I once again appeal to the stay at home fans to leave your CDs at home and come out and see some live music next time.  Lastly to those that intend going to a show the next time, tell a friend.  The only thing that this tour lacked was publicity.
